Glasgow Life is doing a trial run of swimming lessons for toddlers aged 2-4. Classes started this week at Bellahouston and Gorbals swimming pools, and cost £30 for an 8-week block.

Little Acorns Massage classes will be starting a new baby-massage class at the Boilerhouse, Hidden Gardens, Tramway on 29 October 2010 at 10.30am. The Tramway café is a great venue for parents/carers with children, so you’ll have a great excuse to enjoy a coffee and a cake with fellow parents after the class.

Joanna is a qualified infant massage instructor trained by the International Association of Infant Massage. She also worked as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist for a number of years before training in infant massage. Join the Catherine Wheels Theatre Company in the sparkling world of White where everything is bright and new. White is a playful and highly visual show, perfect for ages 2 to 4. It’s set in the Tron’s Changing House space, which only seats 50, allowing the children to get up close and interact with the show.

It’s still not too late to get tickets for tomorrow’s Thomas the Tank Engine event at Bo’ness and Kinneil railway. Included in your ticket is a trip to Birkhill station and a return hauled by one of Thomas’s friends. Thomas the Tank Engine will be ab Bo’ness station all day, so plenty of opportunities to meet Thomas and the Fat Controller. You might even spot the Troublesome Trucks!

You can also now reserve tickets for the Santa steam train event taking place every Saturday and Sunday between 27 November and 19 December 2010. Santa travels by steam train giving all young passengers a gift, while entertainers pass from carriage to carriage singing festive songs. Glasgow Baby thoroughly enjoyed this event last year. Cheesy family fun! It does get booked up early, so prebooking is definitely recommended.
